Supplementary codes for: Klahn, M., Zhai, Y. & Fuhrman (2024) Heavy tails and probability density functions to any nonlinear order for the surface elevation in irregular seas. J. Fluid Mech. 985, A35.
This data set contains supplementary codes for Klahn, Fuhrman & Zhai (2024).
The data set includes two files:
File pdf15_Matlab.zip contains Matlab implementations for computing the probability density function for the surface elevation in an irregular sea, for nonlinear order 1 through 5. Order 1 is linear theory (Gaussian distribution), order 2 is the FKZ (Fuhrman, Klahn & Zhai 2023) distribution, whereas order 3-5 are computed numerically as described in the main paper.
File pdf15_Python.zip contains similar Python implementations.
For further details, please see the additional README files within the zipped folders.
