The present dataset is part of the Alaiz Experiment-2017 (ALEX17) which contains measurements of a surface energy balance (SEB) station and the RASS-Sodar WindRASS from Scintec, both devices rented from the Catalan Meteorological Service. The instrumentation was in operation from April 2018 to January 2019 at the Zabalegui central site of the experiment, in the middle of the Elorz valley. The SEB station provides the four main terms of the surface energy budget, including turbulent fluxes estimated through the eddy covariance technique. The WindRASS monitors the vertical profiles of wind and virtual temperature from 40 to 400 m above the ground at a vertical resolution of 10 m every 15 minutes. Raw data are also part of the dataset to allow generating post-processed data with a user-defined configuration.
