Supplementary Material (Models and Data) for "Co-estimation of core and lithospheric magnetic fields by a maximum entropy method" by Otzen, Finlay and Kloss (2024)
Data and model parameter files supplement the paper:
Title: "Co-estimation of core and lithospheric magnetic fields by a maximum entropy method"

DOI: 10.1093/gji/ggae008
Files Description
The following files are available:
1. Model_CL.mat
2. CL_datafile.h5
(1) Model_CL.mat:
Model parameter file of the model CL in mat-format, following the
style of the CHAOS model releases. This can be loaded, for example, using the chaosmagpy python package https://pypi.org/project/chaosmagpy/
(2) CL_datafile.h5:
The file stores the processed magnetic data used to estimate the model CL.
Data is organized in HDF-groups "ground", "scalar", "scalar_gradient",
"vector", and "vector_gradient", which contains several HDF-datasets
(e.g. Time, Colatitude, magnetic field B). Each HDF-dataset comes with the
attributes "UNITS", "DESCRIPTION" and "FORMAT", which provide additional
information on the HDF-dataset. In can be read, for example using the h5py python package https://pypi.org/project/h5py/.
