This data set contains the data which is used to produce the results presented in the article "Modeling the influence of streamwise flow field acceleration on the aerodynamic performance of an actuator disk".

In the study, an actuator disk subject to varying constant velocity gradients in streamwise direction in the background flow field is simulated and the induction for a given thrust coefficient evaluated. Results are compared with an analytical model presented in the study.

In detail, the data set contains information about the computational domains which were simulated as well as velocity fields along the center line and thrust-induction curves obtained for the considered domains. The data was generated by performing RANS simulations with the flow solver EllipSys3D and the k-omega-SST model as closure. The actuator disk was simulated with a uniform loading radially smeared out at the boundaries.

Version 1: Initial upload
Version 2: Correction after resubmission to journal

Version 3: Corrected version for accepted manuscript.
