This database encompasses empirical cases of rebound effects derived from a systematic literature review of empirical studies.
The goal of this review is to consolidate and systematize the body of empirical rebound effect studies. The database allows for the exploration of rebound effects across different social needs areas (mobility, nutrition, consumables, and housing) and sustainability strategies (efficiency, effectiveness, and sufficiency) at the product-, product-service system-, and socio-technical system- level.
This dataset is supplement to the review paper entitled Multidisciplinary perspectives on rebound effects in sustainability: A systematic review (Andrew & Pigosso, 2023).
