FLEXT developed in MATLAB provides simple scripts to control the elements of a flexible X-ray tomography system. It is composed of scripts to control a flat panel detector, motion stages, X-ray source, thermometers, and laser distance meter.

The software has been developed and tested using MATLAB (R2015b 32-bit) to enable the reuse of available 32-bit drivers shipped with equipment. Users need compatible hardware and software to run the software - especially NewPort XPS MATLAB API Library, a Varian Win32 DLL with IP sockets communication to the X-ray detector, MATLAB Image Acquisition Toolbox, MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox, and MATLAB Instrument Control Toolbox. IP, passwords, and the names of motion stages should be changed to match those of the equipment in use.
